Our staff of Kelli Potter, CIC, LUTCF and her assistants Beth Herman and Kami Van Den Bosch have over 30 years of insurance experience and knowledge between them.  Continuing their insurance educations and seeking professional designations to serve you better are always of importance to everyone at KPI Insurance.    

Kelli was born and raised in the Chamberlain area.  She graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1985.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the School of Business at the University of South Dakota in May 1989.  Kelli started working at Norwest Insurance in Chamberlain, SD  in June of 1989 as an insurance producer.  She became licensed in all lines of insurance in the fall of 1989.  In approximately 1996 Kelli took over the position of agency manager.  Over the years, due to various acquisitions, the agency name has changed from Norwest to Wells Fargo and then to Acordia Insurance.

Kelli has been active in various community organizations over the years.  Some of these include; Jaycees, Hospital and Home Auxiliary board member, Chamber of Commerce board member and past president, Community Health Council, River Cities Fitness Club, Ambulance Grant Steering Committee, Riverbank Pool League officer and the Reliance Area Community Development Club. Kelli is past President  for the South Dakota Association of Insurance Agents' where she has served on the board in various capacities for 7 years.

Kelli enjoys spending personal time in the summer boating on the beautiful Missouri River boating and being outdoors. During  the winter months she travels for continuing education, personal travel,and spending time with family and friends.

Beth Herman was born and raised on a farm south of Luverne, Minnesota. She graduated from Luverne High School in 1987 and attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa. She graduated with an Associates of Arts in office management in 1989. She worked at Diamond Vogel Paints for approximately two years before moving to central South Dakota with her husband.

For the past 15 years, Beth has worked as an office manager/bookkeeper for a construction contractor. She has also served as the city finance officer for the town of Reliance for the past ten years on a part-time basis. In 1993, Beth worked for Kelli Potter as a CSR in the Norwest Insurance Division on a part-time basis and in October of 2006 she joined Kelli again under KPI Insurance working a a CSR and bookkeeper on a part-time basis.

Beth has been actively involved in many community activities over the past several years. This has included church, community, school, and service organizations. Along with her work and community activities, Beth has found time to raise three daughters of her own and one son who she and her husband adopted in 2007.

Beth is excited to take her educational training, work experience as a consumer of different types of insurance, and life experiences to serve the customers of KPI insurance.

Kami grew up in Chamberlain.  After graduating she moved to Sioux Falls where she received her Marketing degree from Southeast Technical institute in 2000.  She wanted to further her education with continued courses in business. She then moved to Minneapolis where she attended  Aveda insitute for Massage and Cosmetology. After working as a stylist  she wanted  to make use of her Marketing Degree.  She then attended the Dale Carnegie Institute which lead her in the direction she is in now. Kami became a licensed CSR in January 2007 and has since been attending many Educational classes to extend her knowledge in the insurance field.  


Kami and her husband Todd have lived in the area for 4 years now.  She always knew she would be back someday. With a lot a family in the area she wouldn’t want to raise her daughter Jovie any where else.  Kami and her family enjoy boating, golf,  and the beautiful summer days.
